URBAN CAMP A BLESSING FOR RTS/CHARLOTTE
Students, student wives, staffers and graduates of RTS/Charlotte were blessed to run a week-long camp for Brookstone School in June. The theme for the week was ‘De Colores’ (of the colors); an evangelistic gospel centered message. Each day was represented by a color stressing an element of the gospel message. They filled the whole day with that color from their food to their clothing. This was a wonderful opportunity for RTS students to experience an urban setting and learn how to lead a well organized, gospel-centered camp. Pictured with the children are Cristina Wilson, Jenni Pyrch (RTS/Charlotte students) and Lauren Spiewak (MATS ’10).

RTS/ATLANTA
"History & Theology of the Puritans" with Dr. James Renihan will meet August 2 - 5, 8:30 am to 4:00 each day. Roots. Genealogy. Beginnings. As Americans, we are fascinated with our past. Memories of the Old Country fill our minds, and the further removed each generation becomes, the greater is the desire to know about our past. Who were our ancestors? What were their lives like? It's especially fulfilling to visit the places our families came from--the old village, the church building, the cemetery with familiar surnames. These things provide us with important clues to our identities. In the same way, as American Christians it is good for us to know about our roots. For many of us, our heritage comes through England. Henry VIII, Bloody Mary, William Perkins, John Owen, Oliver Cromwell, William Laud--these and many others are the names that give meaning to our identity, even across centuries and a wide ocean. This study of Puritanism will investigate these beginnings, and will help to explain a lot about who and what we are.

They invested in nearly 20 children and youth through an educational camp held at the Project Worth Community Center in Means, Ky. The capstone of the week was the community cookout at Project Worth where nearly 200 people gathered to celebrate what God had done (100 missionaries from three different churches and the families of the people they served that week). Dan and his wife Amy have two kids: Ethan (9) and Libby (7). In addition, Doug Walker (M.Div. '98) is the senior pastor at Grace Chapel.
