Passing of Frank Horton

Frank Horton (far right), one of the five founding fathers of RTS went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2016. He served on the Board of Trustees as Secretary for 43 years.
He and his wife reared six children and served as role models and mentors to countless more. He steadfastly believed and instilled in his children that "man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever".
Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Matthews Horton and daughter, Joyce Herring, he is survived by five children, 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Patrick Connelly is the new Department Chair and Prof in History and Political Science at Mississippi College. Dr. Connelly is from Columbia, SC and is a Phi Beta Kappa Society graduate of the University of South Carolina, Reformed Theological Seminary
Orlando (MDiv). Professor Connelly earned his Ph.D. from Emory University in American cultural and intellectual history. His dissertation explores the intersection between the American reception of Friedrich Nietzsche’s thought and the decline of Protestant
